We First Make Our Habits, Then Our Habits Make Us.

"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." -Arstotle

Starting a new healthy lifestyle is hard because you have to create new habits which is different and uncomfortable, but what kind of improvement ever came from staying in your comfort zone?? Once you stop being afraid and step out of it, and start to try things that might make you feel awkward or seem difficult, that's where the magic happens, that's where the real change begins. "We are what we repeatedly do" says Aristotle, and if you wake up every day with determination and a plan, those new habits will create themselves, and then those habits will create you. Healthy habits lead to a healthy lifestyle, and that's the goal, isn't it? So try something new, find the magic, and let better habits create a better you.

Eat With A Purpose

Though nutrition is often neglected, it is CRUCIAL for your body. When I eat with a purpose I am not eating for taste, or because I am bored, I am eating to give my body the nutrients that it needs. Thanks to Herbalife and a lot of meal prep, getting the proper nutrients to fuel my body for the busy life I lead is now easier than ever! THANK YOU HERBALIFE!

.....Now peep these delicious and nutritious stuffed peppers I made today!

Ingredients:
1 bell pepper
3.5 oz ground turkey
1 cup veggies of your choice (I used kale)
curry powder

Step 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Step 2. Sautee the veggies and turkey in medium saucepan

Step 3. Stuff the peppers with veggies and turkey

Step 4. Bake the stuffed peppers for 30 minutes or until the tops are browned

Step 5. Sprinkle on a little curry powder for taste, and enjoy!!

The Power Of Positivity

"The greatest weapon against our stress is the ability to choose one thought over another."
-William James

Surround yourself with people who are looking to achieve the same sort of goals as you, surround yourself with people who lift you higher, people who believe in your dreams. I cannot say enough how important it is to have a support system- a group (big or small) of people who build you up, help you when you need it, and stand by you no matter what. I have a few friends who are also into living healthy lifestyles and being fit, and instead of competing with each other, we inspire one another and work as a team- sharing recipes, workouts, motivation, and most importantly POSITIVITY! It's almost ridiculous how far a few positive thoughts and a good attitude can get you, it's also crazy how your positivity can rub off on the people around you, it is contagious. It is also necessary. How can you lead a positive life with negative thoughts? The only disability in life is a bad attitude. Change your thoughts, and you will change your world.

Everything Is Hard Before It's Easy

Don't cheat yourself. When a workout gets hard, or when that chocolate cake sitting on the counter that your brother brought home is calling your name, when you have a bad day or even a bad week, DON'T GIVE UP, DON'T CHEAT YOURSELF! Fitness and eating/being healthy is something you have to take one day at a time, it's a process, it's new habits, it's a lifestyle change, it's HARD- but it's worth it!! Nothing worth having comes easy, and if you really want it, you have to PUSH yourself- Persist Until Something Happens! So set your goals, eat right, exercise, and don't stop when it's hard- stop when you're done. Stop when all of your reps are complete, stop when you're satisfied, because whether you think you can or you can't- you're right.

Don't Eat Less, Eat Right.

One of the huge misconceptions in the weight loss process is that you have to eat less to lose weight, but honestly you just have to eat right! Eating right and eating often are your keys to success! Eating colorful high protein meals and snacks five times a day helps to speed up your metabolism and keep your blood sugar levels within a normal range. Herbalife has helped me keep up with my five small, high protein "meals" a day. People believe that while using Herbalife all you do is drink shakes, but this is not correct! Herbalife shakes are meant to be used on a healthy diet and are to help give your body MORE nutrients in a day, not ALL of it's nutrients! So remember- Don't eat less, eat right!
